A Sport and Tourism Festival will take place in Tiberias 6.1.2011
We are pleased to invite you to the 34th International Tiberias Marathon, to be held on January 6th, 2011 at 9am. at the Sea of Galilee.
We guarantee an unforgettable experience for all participants in this unique race- the "lowest" Marathon in the world, some 200meters below sea level in the Jordan Valley.
The officially measured 42.195km asphalt course is flat and fast.
The Marathon course follows the shoreline of the Sea of Galilee set against breathtaking rustic landscape, and winding through ancient historical landmarks in the Jordan Valley. It is an out and back course, from the main streets of Tiberias along the Sea of Galilee, crossing the Jordan River up to the turning point at Kibbutz Ein- Gev and back to Tiberias.
Finishing line is at the Golden Tulip Club Hotel.
Average weather conditions - 15C at 9am.
Tiberias, the capital of the Galilee, situated at the western side the Sea of Galilee surrounded by breathtaking scenery, offers various activities for every visitor- holy Christian and Jewish Sites, water recreation, historical sites and more.
During the week of the Festival, there will be many sports activities in Tiberias and the surrounding areas - The International Tiberias Marathon, health walking, exhibitions, sports conference, walking tours.

PASTA PARTY
EACH PARTICIPANT OF THE MARATHON WILL BE OFFERED AN INVITATION TO THE PASTA PARTY AT GOLDEN TULIP CLUB HOTEL THE EVENING PRECEDING THE RACE AT 6pm.

Registration fee $70 – till 1/11/2010.
Registration fee $100 – till 15/12/2010.
Awards
Everyone who crosses the finish line of the marathon will receive a medal and a certificate.
Trophies will be awarded to the first 3 in each age group;
The fastest Israeli men & women of the marathon will be awarded special prizes, as National Champions.
